Protesting Education

"I ask you not to let Texas once again become a national embarrassment," said Ron Wetherington, an anthropology professor at Southern Methodist University, according to AP.
Global media outlets are highlighting the protest and ongoing bone of contention between the Evolutionists and the Creationists; regarding how science will be taught in school, including a Russian media outlet, RT.
The story http://rt.com/usa/texas-textbooks-evolution-creationism-990/ has sparked much criticism from not only the country but from the global community.
The decision will not only affect Texas students, but because the textbook will be mass produced, other states are apt to pick up this book for their classrooms.
Our current streak of education legislation continues to keep America out of the top 10 countries in the world with the highest quality education, and Texas should not take this decision lightly as we can now improve our rankings.
